Stoneware Stamps

Can you imagine my face as I peeked in at these beauties at the Mexico City Museum of Anthropology? Everyone else is looking at the amazing pyramids and detailed carvings but you can find me drooling over....stamps. I think that only a potter could stand in awe at the precision and detail in these ancient stoneware stamps (I know my hubby was only slightly impressed). And, what better way to get inspired for the EtsyMudTeam's stamp swap. I'm heading to the studio to see what kind of stamps I can make. I hope they are even close to what those ancient cultures have created!
