Keeping warm in the snow

The snow drifted down this morning covering our yard with white fluff but we were toasty warm inside. The kiln has been running full force all week keeping the studio hot, hot, hot! I'm restocking all of the holiday gift favorites like wine coaster and olive trays. I'll have everything ready for the 12 days of art and ideas coming up this week. I can't believe it will be December so soon.

Make sure you pick up everything on your gift list by stopping by December 2 to December 14, 2010 at Triangle Gallery, 38 Abell St., Toronto, Ontario. Gallery hours 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. daily (closed Mon., Dec. 6th).

Labor Day Hot Weekend Deals on Etsy

I am so pleased that marymary chose my shop to feature for Etsy's Labor Day Hot Weekend Deals.

Before applying, I went through the whole debate in my mind: Will having a sale devalue my work? Does it make my shop look desperate for a sale, Do I look fat in this dress? Wait a minute... Then I took the leap and offered 10% off every item in my Etsy shop.

For me, this is a great way to get my work out there. I always love shipping off an item because it frees up space in my small home studio for new and fresh work. This time though, I want to free up the space for other reasons. I am having my home renovated so it will be much easier to ship off a bunch of pottery than have to try to store it while our walls and ceilings are being torn apart.

Now is the time to save some cash while getting a lot of great stuff. Find the labor day deals in my shop and many others Here from Sept 3 - 7th.

I think I'm going shopping too!

Art in the Park

My favorite time of the year is summer. I love eating ice-cream from Ed's, hanging out on the beach, and sipping Amercanos at Mercury Cafe. I haven't had much time for that yet since I am getting ready for another one of my favorite things.

I have been furiously creating new pottery to fill my booth at Art in the Park. This craft show is held under the beautiful old trees at the Harrison Estate grounds near the Scarborough Bluffs.

This is an intimate show with about 40 vendors selling everything from paintings and jewelry to fashion and pottery. Come for a visit and enjoy the scenic bluffs overlooking the Great Lake Ontario while you are there.

Show Date: Saturday July 26, 2008, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (rain or shine)
Location: Harrison Estate Grounds, 1859 Kingston Road, Scarborough, M1N 1T3
