Last minute gift ideas

If you are like me, the holiday gift giving season sneaks up before you are ready. So, at the last minute, I have added downloadable gift certificates to my etsy shop.

This makes it easy to download, forward to the gift getter, or print and tuck into a card for personal delivery. For those of us who are super sensitive to design, style and color, this is an easy way to please since the recipient can enjoy the gift even further by having the choice to pick the exact mug/bowl/clock that they love the most.

I hope this helps you cross off that last gift on your list-of-things-to-do during this busy season!

Art in the Park

My favorite time of the year is summer. I love eating ice-cream from Ed's, hanging out on the beach, and sipping Amercanos at Mercury Cafe. I haven't had much time for that yet since I am getting ready for another one of my favorite things.

I have been furiously creating new pottery to fill my booth at Art in the Park. This craft show is held under the beautiful old trees at the Harrison Estate grounds near the Scarborough Bluffs.

This is an intimate show with about 40 vendors selling everything from paintings and jewelry to fashion and pottery. Come for a visit and enjoy the scenic bluffs overlooking the Great Lake Ontario while you are there.

Show Date: Saturday July 26, 2008, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (rain or shine)
Location: Harrison Estate Grounds, 1859 Kingston Road, Scarborough, M1N 1T3

Craft Sale Kudos

I had so much fun on Saturday at the Tranzac Club. I arrived early to set up and was pretty busy all day so the time just flew. I was surrounded by some interesting gals who kept me giggling and full of caffeine. My hottest seller was of course my olive trays because the dots look so cute that everyone just wants to touch them. The day was sunny so traffic was steady. My hubby even brought me a snack in the middle of the day to keep me going. Online selling is great but it sure is nice to talk about my art in person. I had one lovely lady who bought one of my biggest bowls and said she was moving to Vancouver tomorrow. I gave her advice of how to pack it safely and was amazed that she felt the urge to purchase one of my pieces just before the long trek. (She was driving with her two young sons all the way across Canada. In winter.)I have a bit of work to do to get everything restocked but am looking forward to next Saturday. Same time, Same place! This is my last big sale and then I get to take a much needed rest to visit my family over the holidays. If you are still looking for gifts or just need a little treat for yourself, check out the Tranzac Club Sat. 12-6. There is a great variety of sellers and I know I will be shopping while I am there!

Artisan's Gift Fair

This is one of my favorite gift fairs in Toronto. I will be selling there on Dec 8th and 15th. I have been busy making gift soap tray sets since they sold out last year. Make sure you come early in the day for the best selection of colors. It runs noon to 6pm at the Transac Club. I get most of my holiday shopping done there too!
